Policy position 1
The state must protect the health of the mother and child, guaranteeing access to quality healthcare during gestation and birth, regulating and inspecting public services and private healthcare plans, as well as the education of medical professionals.
Policy position 2
The state must take responsibility for medical care provided for childbirth in the public health system, and it must regulate the education of medical professionals only within public institutions
Policy position 3
The State must not regulate nor inspect, but rather promote good practices and carry out educational campaigns regarding the importance of normal childbirth.
Policy position 4
There is no need for regulations concerning childbirth. It is the responsibility of each one to choose how, with whom, and where the birth should occur, according to the pregnant woman’s preference and possibilities.
